This website is operated by Legacie. When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may use cookies for measurement and advertising. Nothing beyond a single cookie recording your choice is set until you press "Accept all", and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Last updated 21st October 2026.
| Essential only | One first-party cookie, gw_consent, remembers your choice for twelve months. No analytics, advertising or social media tracking is loaded and nothing else is stored in your browser. Your enquiry details are sent to us only when you press the button on a form. |
| Accept all | The same gw_consent cookie records your consent, and the measurement and advertising services listed below are loaded. These let us understand how the site is used, show you The Gateway in advertising on other websites and apps you use, and link your visit to any email we have sent you about The Gateway. |
| Changing your mind | Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page to see the banner again. Choosing Essential only after accepting reloads the page without the services below; cookies they have already set can be removed through your browser settings. |
| Google Ads and Google Analytics | Google sets _ga and _ga_* (up to two years) to tell returning visitors apart and measure how the site is used, and _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (90 days) to attribute enquiries to Google advertising and to build audiences for advertising on Google Search, YouTube and Google's partner sites. We use Google's Consent Mode, so these tags are told your choice and do nothing until you accept. How Google uses data from sites that use its services. |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | The Meta pixel sets _fbp (90 days) and, where you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram advertisement, _fbc (90 days). These measure the advertising that brought you here and let us show The Gateway to you, and to people like you, on Facebook and Instagram. Meta privacy policy. |
| ActiveCampaign | Our email platform sets prism_* cookies (up to one year) so that, if you have given us your email address or clicked a link in an email from us, we can see which pages of this site interested you and follow up with relevant information rather than a generic mailing. ActiveCampaign privacy policy. |
When you send an enquiry with your consent in place, we also tell Google, Meta and ActiveCampaign that an enquiry took place so that we can measure which advertising works. The event contains the subject of your enquiry and pseudonymised contact identifiers, if enhanced conversions or server-side matching are enabled with the appropriate consent. Hashing does not make this data anonymous; platforms can match it to information they already hold. ActiveCampaign is given your email address so that it can match your visit to your contact record with us. If we add measurement or advertising services from other platforms, they will be listed here before they are switched on.
| Google Fonts | The typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google's font servers. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details in the same way as for any file downloaded from the web. Google states that it does not use these requests to set cookies or build profiles. Google Fonts privacy information. |
| OpenStreetMap | The map on the Location page is an embedded frame served by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. It receives your IP address when the map loads and may set its own cookies within the frame. OpenStreetMap privacy policy. |
| Films | The film on this site is hosted on our own servers and plays without a third-party video service. |
| Instagram and Facebook | Links to our social pages open those sites in a new tab. Nothing from Instagram or Facebook is loaded on this site until you choose to follow a link. |
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can use a content blocker to prevent connections to outside services such as Google Fonts. The site will still work, although it may fall back to a standard typeface and the map may not display. Guidance for the main browsers is available from the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to Legacie Towers Liverpool Ltd, 80 & 82 Great George Street, Liverpool L1 5FF. Our privacy policy explains how we use the information you give us.
